charles william
where did i come from:
My name is Charles William. I was born and raised in London, England. My father was a renowned watch maker. I have studied law under some of the best tutors and was trained by my father to create watches. My father died when I was 17, leaving my family's money to my mother. When she remarried, I was cut out of my inheritance and left with nothing. For a while, I bounced around friends and families' houses with nowhere to go and no food to eat. One day, while down at the market, I ran across a man who was advertising a trip to America in return for service upon arrival. I agreed. I believed this would be a good opportunity to get a fresh start. Opportunity was calling. I left in 1729.

Did you know that fatherlessness was a common reason for English men to come to America?
